The Man Who Killed Satoshi is an exciting new documentary from Peabody award winner Chris Cannucciari, tracking the origins of Cryptocurrency up until the frenzy of the last two years. I Am Not Satoshi is the continuation of Cannucciari’s 2017 film Banking on Bitcoin, which sold to Netflix and was a smash hit.

The film traces back the origins of Bitcoin and the characters whose ideas helped build it; Elon Musk, the eccentric Billionaire for whom even the Earth is not enough, the Cypherpunks, the humble programmers seeking revolution over fame, and Craig Wright the only candidate who is actively claiming the mantle of Satoshi Nakamoto.

Since Satoshi’s departure, no single person rules Bitcoin, however there have been those who have attempted to exploit Bitcoin’s leaderless structure. The Man Who Killed Satoshi explores the the vacuum Satoshi left and those who have hungrily wished to fill it.

We intend to pay tribute to the geniuses who inspired him and disclose those who have taken advantage of Bitcoin’s empty throne room.

These figures and other pillars of the Cryptocurrency revolution will together tell the story of the exciting and dangerous period surrounding the creation of Bitcoin and its subsequent effects on the world at large.
